SHORT BODY HOOK — SHORT BODY HOOK

A Short Body Hook is a condition where the body hook does not meet the minimum recommended specification.

POTENTIAL CAUSES:

Inadequate lower lifter spring pressure.
Excessive pin height (distance between seaming chuck and lower base plate).
Broken or damaged lower lifter spring.
Short can height or flange width.

SUGGESTED REMEDY:

Increase lower lifter spring pressure.
Reset pin height.
Replace lower lifter spring.
